The purpose of this blog is to help me get fit, lose weight and complete a marathon with 30 weeks training. I want to get down to a 32" waist and 12 st in weight. I am currently 38" waist and 14st. I feel that public ridicule and scrutiny from my friends and people who know me, will be the best motivation possible for me as I'm super competitive and do not like 'losing face'!

You're doing really well Steve, keep it up!! I know how hard it is, I'm hitting the gym big time just now and its hard to keep motivated.
